Hi! I’m David, a Raleigh based wedding photographer documenting weddings across North Carolina with a candid, documentary approach. My focus is simple: to be present, to pay attention, and to photograph your day as it naturally unfolds without forcing or interrupting what’s real.
Over the years, I’ve learned that the moments people hold onto most aren’t the ones they planned; they’re the ones they felt. My role is to recognize those moments as they happen and preserve them with honesty and care.
As a digital and film photographer, I was brought up on the small wonders of the natural world: bird song and tumbling rivers, the pull of a fish on the fly. And if my time in nature has taught me anything, it’s to pay attention—to watch and listen and wait for the fleeting magic, to be as present as I can when it arrives, and to be grateful I saw it when it goes. This is how I treat my work as a photographer, with the same open eyes and heart, the same willingness to wait for something special. Because what is rarer and more beautiful than true love?
