I photograph weddings honestly and as they truly felt, focusing on candid moments and natural connection. I aim to create an experience that feels calm and effortless, so you can be fully present knowing the photography is taken care of. That's it! Show up at your Charlotte venue and let's throw down.
Drop your email below and I’ll send over wedding intel for booking a Charlotte wedding photographer: my pricing structure, a sample package, what the process looks like, and everything you need to know about working together.
I'm probably not the right fit if
Being fully present matters less than getting the perfect image
You want somebody to lead the day rather than observe it
You want every moment carefully orchestrated
Heavy retouching or trendy filters
You'll love working with me if
You appreciate the vintage vibes of film
You have meaning behind everything
You'd rather feel the day than perform it
You need a calm and observant photographer to lead your day
You cannot get enough time on the dancefloor

“From Day 1, David was an absolute joy to work with — responsive, funny, organized, passionate, and extremely talented. When we received our previews, we were blown away. He exceeded every expectation and captured everything in a way that felt natural, timeless, and full of emotion.”
Emily, Charlotte-Area Bride
“We wanted someone who could capture moments without everything feeling staged, and David was exactly that. He made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera, and the photos felt honest, emotional, and genuinely like us."

Focus on What's True
North Carolina is home. I've spent the better part of a decade documenting weddings across it — from mountain ceremonies at golden hour to coastal receptions where the salt air gets into everything, and every kind of celebration in between. Charlotte is one of my favorite places to work in this state. It's a city that shows up fully for the people it loves, and that tends to make for extraordinary wedding days.
My focus is simple: be present and capture what's real. The long hugs, the tears during a toast, or the way your partner looks at you in-between moments.

Full-day coverage up to 12 hours, an engagement session, a second photographer, digital and film photographs, hi-res files, an online gallery, and travel within driving distance — all baked in. The full breakdown is in the pricing guide.
Yes — about 10 rolls per wedding on average. Film holds a timeless quality I love, and it pairs beautifully with the digital coverage. It's one of the things couples come back to later and notice most.
Preview images within a week. The full gallery in 6–8 weeks. Engagement sessions are delivered in about 2 weeks.
Charlotte is about 2.5 hours from Raleigh, and I include travel within driving distance in every package. I make the drive — you get the photos. No surprise fees.
I do! I seriously consider the entire state of North Carolina my home base. With that said, I usually shoot a couple of wedding per year in the Charlotte Area. I've been to places like Duke Mansion, River River Country Club, The Ballantyne, Whitehead Manor, VanLandingham Estate, and more.
I spend real time getting to know you before the wedding day — including a short pre-wedding video exercise that helps me understand what matters most to you. By the time your day arrives, there's already a level of comfort and trust that shows in the photos. I observe more than I direct, and I believe the images you'll treasure most are the ones that were simply happening while I was paying attention.
