Rick and Mary Taylor met in 2017 in Atlanta, a city that marries the sturdiness of tradition with the dynamic vibrance of innovation, art, and progress. The couple brought that same combination to their relationship and their vision for their wedding, coupling the elegance of their chosen venues with the warmth and energy inspired by their beloved families and friends. The vaulted stone sanctuary of Centenary United Methodist Church and the Neo-Georgian grounds of Forsyth Country Club provided a backdrop for the organic explosion of burgundy, pink, and peach florals and layers of greenery that framed the altar, climbed up the bar and the supports of the sailcloth tent, and encircled the cake table and stage, leaving each space teeming with life and color. Thoughtful lighting design and candles brought a warm intimacy to both ceremony and reception, and the black and white dance floor became the beating heart of the reception around which food, drink, and conversation circulated. Infinitesoul, the 11-piece band, carried guests through decades of dance favorites, and the night ended with passed french fries and grilled cheeses.
