Kristi & Cole’s Charlotte Wedding

Spring weddings at Whitehead Manor in Charlotte, NC just hit different. Blue skies, everything blooming, warm light everywhere, everything you need for a wedding all on property — the whole day felt easy in the best way.
I walked into Kristi’s getting ready space and it was good to see her again. It’s hard to describe, but the relationships I build with my couples in the months leading up to their wedding day are always special and I’m forever happy to begin the process of capturing their day.
The ceremony was under the trees where we were surrounded by their closest people, and you could feel how much emotion was in every part of it. Happy tears, laughing during the vows, big hugs right after — nothing felt forced. Just two of the sweetest people really excited to marry each other.
Afterward, we wandered the property for portraits and spent some time with the vintage car from Top Hat Rides. Honestly one of my favorite parts of the day. They were completely locked into each other the entire time, which always makes photographing couples feel effortless.
Once the reception started, the energy stayed high all night. Packed dance floor, people yelling lyrics, drinks in the air, grandparents dancing — exactly the kind of celebration I love being in the middle of. And it was all entirely outside underneath the sky.
Just a really beautiful day from start to finish. Full of joy, emotion, and the kind of moments that actually feel like something years later.
